"The
factors that contributed to my growth were many - finding someone who
understood me, exploring the unconscious, awakening my latent love . .
. but one star is brightest among all: the Self. I found the source of
livingness inside me, something I didn't even know existed."

At the core of Spirituality is the “Being with a Thousand Names”. God,
Goddess, Buddha, The Universe, Christ, Allah, the Witness, The Self,
are but a few ways of naming and honoring the Divine.
We have the capability to be connected to this source of life, to feel
one with the fabric of life, and to experience the joy of pure Being.
There are a hundred and one ways to your center. What path you take
depends on what suits your nature. No matter what spiritual path you
choose it is a worth- while journey, for it is within ourselves that
the spark of Spirit resides. This belief is held at the mystic heart of
all religions and is summed up in the Sanskrit phrase “Tat Tuam Asi”,
or Thou Art That. It is a part of my therapeutic process to assist you
in making the connection with your Self.
What if I don’t believe in God?
How, you might ask, does an atheist integrate spirit into their being?
If you are flexible in both terminology and the interpretation of the
word ‘spirit’, this is quite possible. What we are looking for is the
motivating spirit, the fulfillment of the inner nature, your own Voice
of Wisdom that calls to you from within.
There are many people who have a strong set of ethics,
humanitarian values or philosophical beliefs, who although having no
belief in a “God”, act from principles that are “spiritual.” One does
not need to believe in God to be self realized. One does not need to be
religious to be spiritual. Many belief systems have much in common;
words or terms making them seem different. “I believe in God, only I
spell it Nature” said Frank Lloyd Wright.
What we are looking for is available to theist and atheist alike. Inner
quiet is the key. For “the still small voice” is your own True Self. It
is the Voice of Wisdom, the inner friend you will have as a companion
all your life.
